Known for her smooth grooves and soulful edits, a Red Corvette experience promises a celebration of Black music that’ll have you vibing from start to finish. Red is a self-taught force of nature whose love for R&B and Gospel music shines through every set. 

She effortlessly spins between California and New York, crafting her own unforgettable events like Red's House Party and Summer Fridaze. DJ Red Corvette is not just here to entertain—she’s here to inspire and connect through the power of music. Just talk to our girl jena së kwa, who was initially inspired to DJ by Red.

Born and raised in the city that never sleeps, Nikki Anticss' DJ career started and is still fueled by the desire to share her heritage with the world while creating space for women in the music scene.

From Bunton’s World Famous to the Rum Bar in Brooklyn, Nikki spends her time curating sets like this one, that take listeners on a captivating musical journey, elevating the sounds of the Caribbean.

Everybody say, "Heeeeeey Proper," who at his core is a talent sound selector who brings the flavor of his Brazilian roots together with the heartbeat of New York City. 

Proper is a true craftsman who goes beyond simply playing tracks—he’s a technical talent in scratch culture, blending genres to create seamless transitions and fresh sounds that’ll keep the party in motion from start to finish.

This set is an exploration through Afrobeats, Dancehall, R&B, and Hip-Hop, a celebration of rhythms that bring people together and keep everyone on their feet.

Hailing from Las Vegas,  DJ 9AM has moved crowds in NYC for the past decade. As an open-format DJ, she knows how to blend everything, from Hip Hop to Dancehall, R&B to Club tracks, keeping every set fresh, unpredictable, and soulful.

Beyond blessing events like Homies with her presence, 9AM curates *Body Language*, her own signature event that celebrates the richness of Black sounds and the stories they tell. When she’s on the 1s and 2s, it’s more than just music—it’s a celebration, a vibe, a connection.

From the magic of our favorite gyal, to your screens, it's always a pleasure to deliver a mix from our HBIC, jena së kwa.

Prior to kicking off our North America Tour in Brooklyn, Jena spent two months in Flatbush, submersed in Caribbean culture. This set was primarily inspired by the songs she heard blasting from cars or apartment windows as she navigated the busy streets of Brooklyn. 

The curated sounds also a testament to her growth in grace and patience for everyone else and, more importantly, for herself. 

What we've gleaned most from her is that it's ok! Perfection does not exist, and those that are meant to vibe to it will, so long as you Big Up Yuself! 

Dancehall, Reggae, Afrobeats & Homies: Brooklyn Edition | Gvijin

With almost two decades in the game, Gvijin focuses on bringing a sound that blends nostalgia with current vibes. 

Since 2006, he’s been mastering his craft, leaning on Dancehall, Afrobeats, and Hip-Hop to create a unique sonic journey for his audiences. His sets are inspired by the mixtape DJs he grew up on while also throwing in remixes that embody the island’s energy to provide a raw, unique edge to all his sets. 

When he’s not on the Homies stage, you’ll find him lighting up Gyalifest events, where the goal is simple: spread good vibes, keep people dancing, and make sure everyone leaves feeling uplifted.

Afro House, Rap, Mashups & Homies: Atlanta Edition | Hourglass

Meet DJ Hourglass—a sonic storyteller who brings together the sounds of hip hop, R&B, alternative, and diasporic rhythms from Africa, the Caribbean, and Brazil. She's here to rep for Black, queer women and nonbinary folks, all while showcasing the sounds that make up the Black experience.

Her approach is simple: live your life, move in love, and always support the homies. Whether spinning at intimate spots or on bigger stages, Hourglass's goal is creating a space and vibe where everyone can turn up and connect through the music, whether you know the tracks or not.

R&B, Club Edits, Soul & Homies: Atlanta Edition | nine duce

What started as simply a means to support a friend, blossomed into nine duce finding his passion for DJ’ing. 

Since then, he’s gone all in, from hustling at free gigs to competing at the DMC in DC, to now curating vibes around the world. Every set is a testament to his journey, filled with good intentions and the drive to make people move.

His focuses are simple: create moments that move the audience to connect with one another and above all else, have a great time.

Whether you find him in Atlanta or wherever the next booking takes him, he’s making sure the vibes stay unmatched.

From the boombox days as a kid to being the designated vibe curator at events, DJ Zoo, AKA Zoovie, has been about creating the soundtrack moments.

His style is instinctive, heart-driven, and typically not planned. Instead, they’re lived in real time, with the crowd as his muse. Music isn’t just a passion for him; it’s a way of life that allows him to support his family and provide a space for others to build connection and community.

Whether it’s club residencies in across the US, spinning for festivals and concerts, DJing alongside cultural icons like Nipsey Hussle, or setting the vibe with Kamala Harris on Election Day, DJ Chubb E Swagg brings the same energy, authenticity, and care to every experience.

And while you might know him from the highly circulated Twerk Tape mixtape and party, Chubb E. Swagg isn’t just here to entertain — he’s building a movement. Through over a decade of teaching, he’s created a community of DJs that prioritize collaboration over competition, proving that music is about connection, not ego.

Meet Caleyah, AKA DJ Love Ley - a multi-faceted female DJ, writer, and community enthusiast.

From singing in the crowd to setting the vibe as the official vibe curator, Caleyah is all about creating spaces where people feel free to move, feel, and express themselves.

Whether she’s spinning for a packed party or an intimate gathering, her mission remains the same: to hold space for joy, connection, and celebration. And she means that in every way—big wins, birthdays, or just a random Tuesday, Love Ley and her homies celebrate it all.

She’s a student of the game, forever inspired by the DJs who came before her, refining her craft while staying true to what makes her unique. And before every set, she keeps the same prayer close: I pray that I will do well, and if I don’t, allow me to learn something.

We’re kicking off Women's History Month with an incredible force out of Johannesburg 🇿🇦 For our first-ever Homies episode release from South Africa, we had to tap in with a DJ who embodies electric energy, culture, and movement— DJ Doowap.

For over a decade, Doowap has been sharing the sounds of South Africa with the world, blending high-voltage beats with pure, unfiltered joy. And now, she’s diving deep into Bacardi music, bringing hypnotic, percussive rhythms straight to your speakers. Stream it, share it, and most importantly—dance.

Chicago’s influence is undeniable in their sound, and while some may sleep on the city— Chicago’s magic speaks for itself.

Bonita’s artistry goes beyond the tables—they’re a cultural curator, committed to celebrating and elevating Black culture in every beat. With a mission to push sonic boundaries and challenge the status quo, Bonita uses music as both a powerful form of advocacy and a bridge to connect communities.

For the last 10 years, DJ jena së kwa has been visiting South Africa, immersing herself in the culture, music, and community—so when she launched Home is for Homies in March 2024, she knew it was only a matter of time before she brought the vibes to SA. Little did she know, it’d come full circle sooner than expected, thanks to an invite from our friends at BLKHLTH to link up and make it happen!

As the founder and creative director of Homies, Jena’s usually behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smooth—but when she steps up to DJ? It’s a whole different energy.

This mix is a reflection of her journey, blending some of her favorite tracks from the States to South Africa and beyond. And one thing about jena së kwa, she's always gonna have a good time with some music - and it definitely shows.
